  1. Ejection Policy:

    • Each player, coach, and manager are allowed one free ejection deemed “unremarkable”.

    • Subsequent unremarkable ejections will result in suspensions.

    • All “remarkable” ejections will be reviewed by committee with a possible suspension.

      • Unremarkable ejection- An ejection that occurs due to minor infractions or routine violations of the rules.

      • Remarkable ejection - An ejection that stands out due to the severity, unusual circumstances, or significant impact on the game.

    • The umpire is responsible to determine whether the ejection was remarkable or unremarkable. Discipline committee will review and could change it based on the investigation.

    • A violation of any part of the pitch count rule, the result is the Head Coach is ejected from the current game and receives an additional game suspension. Should this violation not be caught during the game, the Head Coach will receive a 2-game suspension to be served immediately. The OFFENDING team will also forfeit the game by a score of 1 run per inning to zero.

  2. Suspension Protocol:

    • Lineup Card Notation: When a suspension is being served, it must be noted on the lineup card (e.g., in the substitute section: "Suspended, Rick O'Shea, 1 of 1"). This can be noted anywhere on the card. The umpire will be responsible to send a picture of the lineup card to the SPBL.

  3. Process

    • The Umpire is required to send the Incident/Ejection report immediately following the game.

    • The Discipline Committee is sent the report. They will review the report and do an investigation if necessary.

    • Once decision is made (within 24 hours), and offending player or coach will be notified.
